Many of you may know Linda Carol as a Country
singer-songwriter or the director/choreographer of the
award-winning Bayou City Cloggers.  What you may not
know is that Linda Carol has moved to Houston, Texas
with her family and her life is taking a new and exciting
turn!  As a member of the Romance Writers of America,
Linda Carol is seriously pursuing a career in writing
romance.

Her current work, WINDSWEPT, is a sweeping Colonial
romance where "Gone With The Wind" meets the
American Revolution when a bold British officer is
determined to force a feisty lady patriot to surrender her
heart.  Set in Charleston, South Carolina during the
British occupation of the city 1780-1782, WINDSWEPT is
a rich historical saga filled with danger, daring and
deceit.

Can love unite two people divided by the conflict that
turned the world upside down?  Alicia Grayson doesn't
think so.  Loyal to the cause of liberty and in love with
another man, she is dismayed when her uncle forces her
to accept the courtship of Major Jason Worthington.  An
officer in the hated Green Dragoons, he is everything she
loathes -- and fears -- in the British Army.  Or so she
believes, until the fires of passion sweep her away amid
a tangled web of treachery, deceit and secrecy.

Ten years earlier in England, Jason Worthington broke
his engagement when he discovered his fiancée in the
arms of his best friend.  When his father, the Duke of
Wentworth, tried to force him to honor the terms of the
marriage agreement, Jason joined the British Army and
vowed never again to fall victim to a woman's treachery.
But when he arrives in Charleston and meets Alicia, his
resolve slowly begins to crumble.  Determined to claim
her as his own, he stops at nothing to possess her, body
and soul.  But is his love strong enough to survive when
Alicia is forced to choose between him and the fight for
American independence?
