Biography
Multi-faceted is the first word that comes to mind when describing Linda Carol.  She is a registered nurse, but has
been a two-time International champion clogger and clogging instructor and the Director/Choreographer of the
award-winning Bayou City Cloggers.  Her instructional tapes and workshops have helped hundreds learn to clog and
buck dance, traditional American folk dances from the Appalachians.  A stint in Nashville as a country
singer/songwriter resulted in two Top 40 singles ("Love In The Fast Lane" and "Your Love"), a music video ("Love In
The Fast Lane") and an album, "Songs From The Heart".  She has multiple television appearances to her credit,
including "Nashville Now", "Crook and Chase", "Country Today", "American Magazine", "Dance Fever" and "The
Original Amateur Hour With Willard Scott".  Her video was aired on the Nashville Network, Country Music Television,
and a host of video programs across the U.S. and Canada.  You can view her music video, "Love In The Fast Lane",

Since songwriting is a form of storytelling, it seemed only natural for her to gravitate to the writing of prose.  The idea
for WINDSWEPT grew out of her love for history, and in particular, her interest in the American Revolution and the
beautiful city of Charleston, SC.  She has outlines for five more books and has just returned from New Orleans,
where she spent several days compiling research for her next novel, an antebellum romance set in that city. When
she is not writing or working at her day job, Linda Carol enjoys spending time with her husband, Bobby, and two
children, Heather and Justin.
